Hello! We are Christopher and Heather Laurie your blog hosts. We homeschool our 5 lovely children all dealing with special needs. Heather and the children have a genetic disease called mitochondrial disease. We deal with everything from learning disablities, medical issues, and a highly gifted learner to keep us on our toes.

Heather started Special Needs Homeschooling to fill a gap in the homeschooling community. To support, encourage, and share information especially to families dealing with special needs.

The blog is a success! It is growing every month, including social networking sites.

I have received the The Homeschool Post’s Best Special Needs Homeschooling blog award and Top 10 Most Encouraging Blogs!

My readers are mostly parents currently homeschooling or considering homeschooling. The majority have a special need from a learning disability to severe medical problems. I am also blessed with a growing number of readers that have no special need but need encouragement to get over a bump in the homeschooling path. I am actively looking for sponsors, review opportunities, and giveaways that would help my readers.

Sponsoring my blog would give you direct contact to special needs homeschoolers and the homeschooling community in general. I would be happy to honestly review your product and/or do a giveaway. When I have giveaways on the blog I find the maximum reach of readers and new readers happens when the giveaway has multiple ways to win (linking to Face Book, linking to Twitter, blogging about it). I have also had great success in additional learning material being bought when there is a sale going on at the same time.

We are a curious family that loves to try new things. We have tried many styles of homeschooling. Four of my children have high functioning autism, so I have a large network of autism connections. We also have food restrictions so we are open to reviewing gluten free, casein free, or other allergen free products. You will find us a unique, wonderful, Christian family!

I write often for major homeschooling magazines. I attend and speak at several conventions during the spring homeschooling season. I have also been asked to be interviewed on blog talk radio and a christian radio station. All these opportunities raise my blogs readership.
