I love this, Heather! It is one of my favorite scripture passages as well and one I recited over and over during a bout with cancer a few years ago. God is good, all the time. Thanks so much for this uplifting post!

Great post…I love that scripture as well.
My need isn’t as much physical strength when my body is saying “no” as much as it’s the emotional strength when I just want to toss in the towel and run away. I find my foundation and refuge in Scripture and prayer. I also find a steady dose of strength in the arms of my hubby, the listening ear of a couple of special friends, the laughter of my children and most of all in focusing on truth and reality. Truth says, I can do this and that God will help me. Reality says my children are only mine for a time and I need to embrace that fully, even the difficult parts.
