We have been super busy! All sorts of last minute things to do with homeschooling. You know that feeling when you look at how much of the book you have left and how much time 😛
Yes, I understand you don’t have to finish a whole text book but somewhere deep inside I feel like I fail if I don’t. When we go in to be evaluated I’ll calm back down. It’s my Achille’s heel.
We have also been busy around the house. I have started a minor canning obsession My Orange Odyssey!
Just to be sure I don’t get bored one of my lovely kiddos has recently had some health problems. That has meant repeated trips to the specialists, a 2 hour drive one way.
Last weekend we took a mini vacation to a homeschooling convention. The Eastern Panhandle Homeschooling Convention was fun and relaxing. The group that listened to my workshops were great! One workshop was Special Needs Homeschooling Yes You Can! and Movers, Shakers, and Denim Cloth Haters.
Mover, Shakers, and Denim Cloth Haters is my sensory workshop and I love it! I have changed it drastically since I first gave it. At first I thought I needed to talk about what a sensory integration disorder was. After talking with parents I realize you know that already! You want real time HELP! So I spend at least half that workshop taking questions and giving tips and ideas to help your homeschooling and your family life the second you get home.
This weekend I will be going to Cincinnati to the Midwest Homeschooling Convention. I was not able to get my electric wheelchair approved in time so I will be in my normal wheelchair. I am going to make a sign to go on it. Feel free to say hi if you see me wheeling around. I want to meet you!
Hoping you are all doing well and not nearly as busy as we are!
PS for my prayer warrior friends out there. My son and I have further testing in the next couple weeks. Please join us in prayer these tests are normal or the doctors are able to clearly see the problem and find a solution for it. Thank you.
