October is almost here. Some of you are facing unexpected problems. Your plans have bogged down and you are concerned. Here is the question… What is the YOUR homeschooling/parenting problem?
That’s right ask away. Let’s see if we can get you back on track. The time to stop the trend of discouragement and frustration is now.
So far this year our homeschooling has had high points and low. High point is reading all around has noticeably gotten better and so has the desire to read better! Low point WOW the ADHD is kicking! Sadly the allergy season in this area has been horrible. Until the last couple of days we had a long, dry, weedy September. Allergies never make for happy, healthy kids. Like in Lisa Whelchel’s book Creative Correction my children’s ability to attend drops drastically with allergy season.
Or are you pulling your child out of public school? Homeschooling choices in curriculum can be overwhelming.
I am open to answer your questions through comments. I can also talk to you through email gfcfmomofmany@yahoo.com or FaceBook username gfcfmomofmany I hope when the newer less touchy phone comes in to have free phone hours and some consulting hours for more in depth issues.
May God bless your homeschooling journey this year!
There is an urgent prayer request from HSLDA Chris Klicka one of the founders of HSLDA is dying of MS and it looks as if the end is near. He leaves behind a wonderful wife and large family. At the same time the other founder of HSLDA Mr Harris’s wife is in the hospital in poor condition. Lord we raise these two people and families to you Lord. That you may heal them. Lord we ask you strengthen and protect their families in this time of distress.

Thanks for the kind words you left on my site. My Notice of Intent went out in the mail today. By the end of the month, I should be able to pull him out and begin homeschooling. I homeschooled him in the past, so I pretty much know what I am in for. This time around will be more challenging. He is older and he is showing signs of hitting puberty. I am hoping that making everything extremely organized and following the same routine everyday will help. I am going to re organize the dining room. I need to find the NC curriculum requirements for 6th grade online. Because he learns academics quickly, I don’t want to buy a lot of books that he will be done with in three to four months. Instead, I will make use of the internet and library.
