This was a drifty odd week. There was plenty of work done but not much that I had planned. It leaves me feeling like we didn’t do much. But upon reflection and looking up the parent page on our math program I see the kids did several more lessons than planned. Science was read and notebooks were worked on. Bible scripture was written and talked about each day to start things off. The kids really did do a great job.
I feel drift also because I am shy some of the material that I feel like I just HAVE to have. Calm down Heather… We have plenty of material. Lots of books and the core subjects covered.
This year I just feel a tension. A push to get it ALL done. Yes, I know that can’t happen. I know that pushing my kids too hard is ridiculous and not healthy. I think it’s the health-thing hanging over my head like a Damocles sword. I feel like the time I have MUST be put to good use.
On top of the normal homeschooling, hospice, O2 guy schedule we have. It’s canning season!
The cooler weather delayed the height of canning season a week or two so things are going crazy NOW. Rather than the week before school starts.
I not only love canning. Producing high quality, yummy food for the family but I think we need to can. There are so many allergens the kids have or have been sensitive to in the past I need to control all ingredients in our food. Canning helps me do that.
Next week is review week. Writing up a couple of products and starting a couple! Should be fun to share them with you. You can get a sneak peek on Instagram.
The entire family would like to send a special thank you to all those we met at the Teach Them Diligently conventions this past year. If you wish to see more about the Teach Them Diligently Convention click the link below. It is an affiliate link of mine. I thank you for considering using my link when you buy your ticket or your group’s tickets. We use the money to help us travel to the conventions across the country and help homeschoolers.
Right now convention coordinators are selecting their speakers. If you would like to hear Chris and I speak at your convention please TELL your coordinator. Chris will be joining me talking about his specialty computer/online security. Keeping your family safe while online homeschooling or researching. We are going to share how we keep a strong healthy marriage despite dealing with the many storms in our life. Finally we will mainly be speaking about special needs homeschooling!
How wonderful homeschooling is! How you can homeschool no matter the strengths or weaknesses you are dealing with! We know how strong and loving your family will be when they pull together and work for the glory of the Lord!
