Hello friends! I am stuck yet again in the hospital. I have a blood infection and had to have my chest port removed. That also means I have no way to be fed. 🙁
I am taking lots of heavy antibiotics to kill off all the bacteria. If all goes well I will have a port put back in Thursday or Friday and restart TPN immediately.
Until then hubby is home taking care of the kids. They too aren’t feeling well. All 5 kids got a virus which they were nice enough to share with daddy. That means that whole family had a couple of days off chores and homeschooling.
Now the house is starting to pull together again. I was able to use my iPhone to Facetime with the family today and give some personal directions to the kids. I was able to email a detailed lesson plan for each child to daddy. I am also able to talk to daddy via phone most of the time (sometimes I am just too icky, other times the drs are running me around the hospital getting tests).
That along with the steady routine we have set up for months makes this hiccup in life run smoother than I had expected. We all can’t wait to be home and under the same roof!
I could definitely use your prayers. The kids and I need to get healthy. I also have to make it through a 9-ish days (if all goes perfectly) with no nutrition.

Praying for you! I NEED to come up with a routine to deal with hiccups! I have discovered if I don’t do it or am not here to run things…everything goes to … well ya know!
Praying for your recovery and your family as they await your arrival home!

I’m glad you have the iPhone so you can stay connected with your family. I’m praying that the meds work well and that your doctors have much wisdom in taking care of you.
You’re such an inspiration to all of us. I pray that you and the children get well very quickly and that you get your port back soon. God bless you and your family.

So glad things are sort of ok at home. Prayers you recover quickly. Happy vibes to the kids who are working with Daddy this next week too. I wish I could do something. We too are in the trenches with 7 appointments this week, and State Testing. We decided to get a DJ tube for our son today and skip the port for now. He is only seventeen so it is too early to risk complications with a lifelong disorder. Prayers of healing and prayers of some way to get in nutrition sooner.

Our prayers are with you. I love how routine helps so much with the details of homeschooling.
