Oh for pity’s sake body get your act together! Have you ever felt that way? I do right now. I have been in the hospital for 70+ days on and off since May. I am so OVER being locked in the hospital.
Most of those days have been because I was very sick with blood infections. 20 of those days were because of the VA healthcare system was messing with my nutrition and medications. All I want is to be home as much as possible. I get so frustrated when my hospital stays get drawn out because of lack of communication or under education on complicated patients.
<<If you missed it I got so upset at the VA healthcare system’s treatment that I turned to FB live (50,000+ views) and my Senator for help. I even ended up on the local news because of the dust up.>>
November was 2 stays in the hospital in one month. I got out of the hospital just in time to go back again. But I did get out of the hospital in time for Thanksgiving!
With the help of the whole family 20+ servings of a delicious gluten free dinner made it to the table. Two turkeys, appetizer, soup, side dishes galore, pies and a cookie tray. I got to sit back and direct most things rather than cook everything myself.
Chris was awesome with the kids. He kept up homeschooling through it all!!! The Thankfulness Tree went up like tradition. Meanwhile I was stuck in the hospital so I started reading through some homeschooling material from Apologia. Also working on our lesson plan for the rest of the year. Time well spent.
This past stay really stunk. I went in with a high fever and very sick with sepsis. Then I missed my little one’s birthday. I was alert enough to get a visit from the birthday girl.
I think we are all stretched thin and tired of the hospital run. Then after the hospital comes the ton of specialist appointments. Now one of my littles needs a couple of specialist appointments and a few tests. Its going to be a long few months.
