If you needed another reason to homeschool here it is. Teacher Poisons Student with Autism from Aspieweb.net Special education teacher Trinda Barocas from Indianapolis, Indiana allegedly tried to poison a asperger’s child.  There appears to be a systematic abuse of this child and possibly others by this teacher. Rightfully so she is not teaching at this school anymore. I pray she has left the business.

Please stop and think those of you with children in the public school system. Your child will be in a school for 12+ years. There will be multiple teachers and aides each year. Just one of those people needs to be evil to cause a life long problem. I realize that most teacher love the kids and are there to help. I am deeply concerned though about our gentlest of souls.

A normal child when faced with an abusive situation can get help, fight back, or run away and stay safe until help arrives. Children that have special needs may not be able to do these things. If you chose to stay in public school I would implore you to stay in your child’s schooling up to your eyebrows! Stop in and help in the classroom. Know your child’s teacher. If there is a problem don’t dither fix it! Get a new teacher or aide if necessary.

In the end we have all been blessed with our children. The Lord has placed them into our lives to love, care for, and educate.
